I believe children are our future and that the early years are the most important years of development. So much happens in the first 5 years of life, from walking, talking and learning to read. The early years of life are so critical because they build a solid base for lifelong learning.
I believe that each child is unique and in the importance of developing the whole child(social/emotional, cognitive and physical). Children learn through play which consists of; social interactions, imagination, active exploration, and problem solving. Children are blank slates ready to learn whatever the world presents them.
It is important to build a child’s self esteem and confidence so they are ready to take on any situation. A confident child enjoys learning and trying new things. This is why I provide a nurturing environment where children feel safe to take risks and know its ok to make mistakes. By the Park is a place where children can learn about the world, themselves and their peers.
